Today was a falling day. I almost fell down the stairs. I was running up to the freshman hallway from the locker room (which is as far away in the school as you can get) and my foot barely hit the step behind me. I felt only my toe catch and knew I was about to fall, all the way down a flight of stairs; I knew it was going to hurt like crap. This all crossed my mind in about a half a second because, with out even faltering, I was up the next step. I have no idea how I made it, but it was pretty cool.
I was pretty much asking for it though, because of gym class. We are doing fitness tests this week (like I need you to give me a test to prove I'm out of shape, I'M AWARE!!!!) and we had to do the shuttle run. This is where you sprint the length of the volleyball court and back 4 times and knock down these little blocks. Anyway, we were all sitting there watching and this poor guy fell on the last part, he got up like a cartoon, legs and arms flailing and face all red, he lever lost speed and he was not yet all the way up when he fell AGAIN. I felt so bad for the guy (because I can envision that happening to me in a heart beat) but could not help but giggle. So, I guess I kind of brought my almost-spill-down-the-stairs upon my self.
