The craziest thing ever happened last night. I was at my dad's house, getting ready for bed. It was supposed to rain last night so i was not surprised when I heard the tell-tale sounds of distant thunder and the pitter-patter of rain against my window. What was suprising, however, was my stepmom running thrue the house yelling for every one to get into the living room because a TORNADO WAS FORMING NEAR OUR HOUSE!
I shall stop here and give you some back ground. I learned later that my step-mom's father had called her to warn her of the possiable danger of the storm. He had been sitting on his front porch when he saw what looked to be a tornado forming near where our house is. Upon hearing this from her dad, my stepmom turned on the TV to see a tornado warning flashing across the screen. It is here our story continues.......
By the time I got to the living room, I realized most everyone was out on our front lawn, near the street. I quickly ran outside to join them. It was then I saw the swirling green funnel cloud! I immanently pulled out my cell phone and snapped pictures of the forming tornado. Thankfully the tornado cloud was moving away from us and neither us nor our neighbors sustained any damage.
That's not all!
With my dad's encouragement, I sent the pictures I had taken in our local news station. They called me back and asked me to do a telephone interview on the 10 pm news. I said yes (obviously) and when 10pm came around, I told my story on the news!!!! I'M FAMOUS!!!!!! It was awesome and totally cool. My parents and stepbrother made sure everyone I know was watching it, so now everyone has seen it. And after all that, the news station called back and asked me to do and interview on the 11pm news as well. I did that one too. It's crazy! My name was all over the TV and a quote of mine was posted on the news station's web site.The only bad thing was I missed some sleep and was whipped at school today.
